Youth wananga

Each year we hold targeted wānanga designed to invest in the personal development of our young people. These are focused on self-motivation, outdoor recreation, traditional values and identity.
Activities are marae-based and include going into the Abel Tasman National Park. We will cover things such as:
- te reo Māori
- waiata
- traditional food
- tribal history
- environmental responsibility
- goal setting
- career pathways
- an overview of Wakatū and its associated businesses.
Applications for the 2013 Taiohi Wānanga close 31 May. Successful applicants will attend the wānanga from the 30 September - 4 October 2013.
