Kaitiakitanga is the principle of environmental sustainability. This distinct ethos has led us reliably since our inception and underpins all of our actions

Through kaitiakitanga we are obligated to be sustainable, eco-efficient and environmentally responsible. We must also adhere to our social obligations to the community and future generations.
Our fundamentals of sustainability:
- Eco Efficiency The proper and careful use of finite resources. Managing waste to minimise the negative and maximise the positive impact of human activity.

Economy We are financially viable, maintain good employment practice and are of benefit to the economy as a whole.

Community Economic development is of overall benefit to our communities, our culture and our heritage. It does not endanger them.
We are committed to:
